Multiple agencies were called to Huntington Station for a fire at the Four-Way Pallet Corporation, located on East 2nd Street, shortly after 1 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27.

It took firefighters nearly 12 hours to get the flames under control, Rachel Marx, the daughter of one of the two owners, said on the Huntington Matters Community Forum Facebook group.

“We watched it burn to the ground…” she said, adding that nobody was injured.

In all, firefighters from 15 different agencies responded to the blaze.

“Thank you to all fire departments who were at the scene and a big thank you to the Huntington Manor Fire Department who finished the job," Marx said. "Hearts were broken today within my family.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
